Wednesday, December 17, 1997`,
Chair Nancy Pope Schlangen called the Board of County Commissioners
meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. County Commissioners present were
Nancy Pope Schlangen, Robert L. Nipper, and Linda L. Swearingen.
Also in attendance were Mike Maier, County Administrator; Greg
Brown, Sheriff; Patti Mecca, Property Management; Brian Harrington,
Planner; Rick Isham, County Counsel; Gary Giersdorf, Jail; Marty
Wynne, Treasure/Finance Director; Gary Judd, Road Department; Tom
Blust, Road Department Director; Michael Gaston, Librarian; and Jay
Turley, Property & Facilities Manager.
1. APPROVAL OF SISTERS SHFRTFF ENFORCEMENT CONTRACTAND
SWEARING-IN OF OFFICERS
Before the Board was approval of the Sisters Sheriff Law
Enforcement contract and the swearing-in of the Sisters
Officers.
Greg Brown reported the contract was through June 30, 2002.

Before the Board was a public hearing on adoption of Ordinance

Marty Wynne reported there were participants from the
community that reviewed the ordinance which resulted in some
changes. in the ordinance.
