REVIEWED 98-120730164-0348 91 L COUNSEL BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, An Order Establishing a Designated Speed of 45 m.p.h. on all of Russell Road between * 98 FEB 26 PH 1: 52 Reed Road and Finley Butte Road MARY SUE LLOW COUNTY CLERK ORDER NO. 98-030 WHEREAS, pursuant to ORS 810.180 paragraph (8), Section(a), the Board of County Commissioners as a road authority have been delegated authority by the Oregon Department of Transportation designate reasonable and safe speeds on low volume or not hard surfaced County roads. In the Board's judgment, to protect the safety of the public; and WHEREAS, this action is based upon an engineering and traffic investigation; and WHEREAS, Russell Road lies outside the corporate limits of any city; and WHEREAS, it appears that a safety necessity exists on Russell Road; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON as follows: Section 1. The designated speed of 45 m.p.h. be assigned to the following section of Russell Road between Reed Road and Finley Butte Road. Section 2. That the County Road official erect appropriate signing according to MUTCD (Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices) requirements giving notice of the restriction. Section 3. That any previous order with respect to the designated speed for the above road which is in conflict with the provisions of this order is hereby rescinded. DATED this o25 day of , 1998. As this area continues to develop, the basic rule speed will be very obscure. A set seed limit will allow enforcement on this road.
