ORDER NO. 98-051
WHEREAS, ORS 271.330(2) provides that Deschutes County may transfer real
property not needed by the County to a non-profit corporation for the purpose of providing
low income housing; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held on May 6,1998; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners find that Deschutes County no
longer needs certain real property for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners find that Redmond Habitat for
Humanity, Inc., is an Oregon non-profit corporation providing low income housing within the
State of Oregon and will use certain real property to create low income housing; and
WHEREAS, no objections to the transfer of said real property were expressed at said
hearing; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That Deschutes County's interest in the real property described as:
Lot 3, QUARTZ CANYON TRACTS, City of Redmond, Deschutes County,
State of Oregon.
be transferred to Redmond Habitat for Humanity, Inc., the true consideration of which shall
be the use of said property to create low income housing, pursuant to ORS 271.330(2).

Section 2. That a bargain and sale deed be executed and delivered transferring said
property to Habitat for Humanity, subject to a reversionary interest of Deschutes County
should said property not be used to create a low income home.
