RESOLUTION NO. 98-122
WHEREAS, ORS 275.100 and Deschutes County Code (DCC) 11.08.135 provides that
the Board of County Commissioners shall declare its intention to exchange real property by
proper resolution; and
WHEREAS, a hearing shall be held for the purpose of receiving objections to the
proposed exchange of real property; and
WHEREAS, Deschutes County intends to exchange real property for the Project
declared in this Resolution in accordance with DCC Chapter 11.08; now, ,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. The real property to be exchanged pursuant to DDC Chapter 11.08 by
Deschutes County is generally described in Exhibit "A" to this Resolution. Real property
described by tax lot identification (Tax Lot ID) and serial number are described by Tax Lot ID
and serial number as set forth in the records of the Deschutes County Assessor on October 28,
1998. The properties are more fully described in the records of Deschutes County.
Section 2. The Project to be acquired is described as the new Health and Human
Services Building in Bend, Oregon, the Becky Johnson Community Campus in Redmond,
Oregon and 1031 N.E. Penn Street, Bend, Oregon (together referred to as the "Project").
Section 3. The Project shall be acquired as a delayed exchange. Each property
described in this Resolution is eligible to be exchanged for cash to acquire the Project. Prior to
deeding any property described in this Resolution, the Board shall enter an order in accordance
with DCC 11.08.120.
Section 4. A hearing for the purpose of receiving objections to the above described
exchange will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 1998, in the Board of County
Commissioners' Hearing Room, Administration Building, 1130 N.W. Harriman Street, Bend,
Oregon.
Section 5. That the Clerk of the County Court shall give notice of the time and place four
the hearing set in Section 4 of this Resolution by publication of the notice marked Exhibit "B,"

attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, in The Bulletin once each week for
four consecutive weeks prior to the date of such hearing.

On Wednesday, December 16, 1998, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners'
Hearing Room, Administration Building, 1130 N.W. Harriman Street, Bend, Oregon, the Board
of. County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, will hold a hearing on a delayed
exchange of real property pursuant to Deschutes County Code Chapter 11.08 to acquire a
Project described as the new Health and Human Services Building located in Bend, Oregon, the
Becky Johnson Community Campus located in Redmond, Oregon and 1031 N.E. Penn Street
property located in Bend, Oregon.
