to Deschutes Public Library District
to be Used Exclusively for Public Purposes
Pursuant to ORS 271.330.
RESOLUTION NO. 98-131
WHEREAS, ORS 271.330 provides that Deschutes County may transfer its interest in
surplus real property to another governmental body by proper resolution and without hearing
if the real property was not acquired by the County through tax foreclosure proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the Deschutes Public Library District has requested that the County
transfer to it the County's interest in certain real property without consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that the Deschutes Public
Library District is a special district organized under the laws of the State of Oregon, and will
use said real property for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, ORS 271.330(5) provides that the County may waive its right to retain a
reversionary interest in the property; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That Deschutes County transfer the following interests in real property
generally described herein as:
Parcel 1: Lots One (1) and Two (2) and the North Half (N%2) of Lot Three
(3), Block Twenty-two (22), PARK ADDITION TO BEND, Deschutes
County, Oregon;
Parcel 2: Lots Number Six and Seven (6 & 7), the Southwesterly Half
(SW%2) of Lot Number Eight (8), and also that part of vacated alley
accruing to above lots of Block Number Twenty-two (22), of PARK
ADDITION TO BEND, according to the plat thereof on file in the office
of the County Clerk of Deschutes County, Oregon.
