Chair Nancy Pope Schlangen called the Board of County Commissioners
to order at 10:07 a.m. County Commissioners present were Nancy
Pope Schlangen and Robert L. Nipper. Also in attendance were Mike
Maier,°County Administrator; Tom Blust; Road Department Director;
Rick Isham, County Counsel; Jim Bonnarens, Property Management;

1. APPROVAL OF WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE FOR 4-H/EXTENSION COUNTY
SERVICE DISTRICT
Before the Governing Body was approval of the weekly -accounts
payable vouchers for 4-H/Extension County Service District in
the amount of $118.49.

ASSOCIATION AND FRED MEYER STORES. INC.
Before the Board was signature of Addendum No. 1 to a Real
Estate Purchase and Sales Agreement between Deschutes County,
Deschutes County Fair Association and Fred Meyer Store, Inc.
Rick Isham discussed this issue with the Board.

TO PROVIDE HEALTH RELATED SERVICES TO READY SET GO

Before the Board was signature of the Agreement with Central
Oregon Community College to provide health related services to
Ready Set Go.
Elaine Severson reported there was an agreement in the amount
of $38,000.

for the agreement for Central Oregon Community
College to provide the health related services
for Ready Set Go, subject to legal counsel
review.

authorizing the borrowing by a Local Improvement District
Project Fund from the Road Fund.
Tom Blust reported this was to provide funds to the Local
Improvement District Fund to complete the Whispering Pines
project.

14. ANNOUNCEMENT OF GRANT FUNDS FROM HUD FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO
PUBLIC HOUSING
Before the Board was an announcement of Grant Fund from HUD
for improvements to public housing.
Cyndy Cook reported there was a grant received from HUD. She
stated they had applied for over $1 million and received
$700,000. She stated they were very pleased. She provided a
copy of the grant for the Board.
15. SIGNATURE FOR TWO FTV LICENSES ON TWO COUNTY OWNED PIECES OF
REAL PROPERTY
Before the Board was signature for two FTV Licenses for two
county owned pieces of real property.
