Public Purposes, Setting a Hearing for the
Purpose of Hearing Objections to the Transfer
and Providing Notice.
RESOLUTION NO. 99-015
WHEREAS, ORS 271.330 provides that Deschutes County may transfer its interest in
surplus real property to another governmental body by proper resolution and hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redmond has requested that the County transfer to it the
County's interest in certain surplus real property without consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that the City of Redmond is
a municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, and will use said real property for public
purposes; and . ,
WHEREAS, ORS 271.330 provides that said transfer shall only be made upon notice
and after hearing; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That Deschutes County intends to transfer it's interest in real property
generally described herein as:
Starting at a point which is the center of Section Sixteen (16) Township Fifteen
(15) South, Range Thirteen (13) East of the Willamette Meridian; thence North
0°09'03" West a distance of ninety-two and one tenth feet (92.1'), being the
Northwest corner of Block Seventy-one (71) of Redmond; thence South 89°54'
East a distance of four hundred thirty-six and six tenths feet (436.6') to a 7/a" iron
pin which is the point of beginning, and being the Northwest corner of Block
Seventy-three(73) of Redmond; thence South 0°06' West a distance of three
hundred feet (300') to a 7/e" iron pin, said point also being the Southwest corner
of Block Nine (9) of Redmond Townsite Company's 2"d Addition to Redmond;
thence South 89°54' East a distance of two hundred eighty -feet (280') to a7/8 "
iron pin, said point also being the Southwest corner of Block Eight (8) of

Redmond Townsite Company's 2"d Addition to Redmond; thence North 0°06'
East a distance of three hundred feet (300) to a 7/8" iron pin, said point also
being the Northwest corner of Block Seventy-four (74) of Redmond; thence
North 89°54' West a distance of two hundred eighty feet (280') to the point of
beginning, according to the official plats thereof on file in the office of the
County Clerk of the County of Deschutes and the State of Oregon.
Section 2. A hearing for the purpose of receiving objections to the above transfer of
contingent future interests will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 1999, in the
Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room of the Deschutes County Administration
Building, 1130 NW Harriman, Bend, Oregon.
Section 3. That the Clerk of the County Court shall give notice of the time and place
for the hearing set in Section 2 of this Resolution by publication of the notice marked Exhibit
"A," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, in "The Bulletin" once each
week for two consecutive weeks prior to the date of such hearing.

PUBLIC NOTICE
On Wednesday, March 24,1999, in the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room of the
Deschutes County Administration Building, 1130 NW Harriman, Bend, Oregon, the Board of
County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, will hold a hearing on the transfer of
contingent future interest in real property from Deschutes County to the City of Redmond.
Deschutes County intends to transfer and release to the City of Redmond a reversionary
interest it holds on real property, generally described as:
Starting at a point which is the center of Section Sixteen (16) Township Fifteen
(15) South, Range Thirteen (1.3) East of the Willamette Meridian; thence North
0009'03" West a distance of ninety-two and one tenth feet (92.1'), being the
Northwest corner of Block Seventy-one (71) of Redmond; thence South 89°54'
East a distance of four hundred thirty-six and six tenths feet (436.6') to a7/8" iron
pin which is the point of beginning, and being the Northwest corner of Block
Seventy-three(73) of Redmond; thence South 0°06' West a distance of three

beginning, according to the official plats thereof on file in the office of the
County Clerk of the County of Deschutes and the State of Oregon.
