SUMMARY. Pursuant to ORS 190.085, enacted in 1991, each of the parties to an intergovernmental agreement creating an intergovernmental entity is required to enact an ordinance ratifying the creation of the intergovernmental entity. Black Butte Service District wishes to participate in an intergovernmental entity to be known as Central Oregon Law Enforcement Services (COLES) which shall provide coordinated responses to common law enforcement issues in Central Oregon. The Deschutes County Board of County Commissioners, Acting as Governing Body for Black Butte Ranch County Service District Oregon, has the authority to repeal this Ordinance with 90 days written notice to Crook and Jefferson Counties, the cities of Bend, Madras, Prineville and Redmond and Deschutes County.
