An Order Establishing the Lower Bridge Estates No Shooting District.
ORDER NO. 99-080 COUN I Y CLERK
WHEREAS, a hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners on Wednesday, April 28,
1999, to receive testimony on whether Lower Bridge Estates subdivision, Deschutes, County, Oregon, would be
benefited by the restrictions set forth in Deschutes County Code Chapter 9.08, Discharge of Firearms; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that notice of the public hearing on this issue was properly given and the
area to be included in the proposed firearms district was adequately described in that notice; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds from the testimony that the area included in the proposed firearms district
is a rural residential area that is becoming more and more populated; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds from the testimony of persons having personal knowledge of specific
instances of firearms discharged in and about the proposed firearms district that the discharge of firearms
threatens the personal safety of residents in the area; and
WHEREAS, the Board, having considered the testimony presented to it, now determines that the area
included in the proposed firearms district would be benefited by the restrictions of Deschutes County Code
Chapter 9.08; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ORDERS
as follows:
Section 1. That the territory described in Exhibit A and depicted on the map marked Exhibit B, attached
