DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Wednesday, April 7, 1999
Chair Tom DeWolf called the Board of County Commissioners meeting
to order at 10:00 a.m. County Commissioners present were Tom
DeWolf and Dennis Luke. Also present were Mike Maier, County
Administrator; Rick Isham, County Counsel.
1. APPROVAL OF AWARDING FUNDS TOWARD THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
SKATEBOARD PARK IN REDMOND
Before the Board was a request for funds to be used toward the
construction of a Skateboard Park in Redmond.
Luke Wescott, Keith Clayton, and Neil Clayton were present to
request funding toward the construction of the Redmond
Skateboard Park. Jim Smith, Community Justice, stated the
kids involved were a big influence in getting this skateboard
park site approved. Dave Holms stated City of Redmond will
commit some dollars and they said they would like to have it
completed within one year.
Commissioner Luke proposed $1,500 be donated to the skateboard
park fund.
2. APPROVAL OF WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE VOUCHERS, SUBJECT TO
REVIEW
Before the Governing Body was approval of the weekly accounts
payable vouchers in the amount of $577,003.47.

SECOND READING AND ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 99-011, RATIFYING
THE CREATION OF THE CENTRAL OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
Before the Governing Body was adoption of Ordinance No. 99-
011, ratifying the creation of the Central Oregon Law
Enforcement Services.
LUKE: I would move second reading, by title only, of
Ordinance No. 99-011, creation of the Central
Oregon Law Enforcement Services.
DEWOLF: I will second that motion.
