WHEREAS, the U.S. Forest Service has received an offer from Sunriver LLC of D(R6tes-
County, Oregon, for the exchange of property to assist in the consolidation of land; and

WHEREAS, the overall land exchange involves approximately 375 acres to be transferred to
Sunriver LLC and 265 acres that will be transferred to the U.S. Forest Service; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Forest Service has requested that Deschutes County indicate its support for
the exchange of land from the Deschutes National Forest having Weeks Law status; and
WHEREAS, that portion of the federal exchange land having Weeks Law status contains
approximately 42.1 acres and is described as follows:
T. 19 S., R. 11 E., W.M.
sec. 28
That portion of the SE'/4 SE'/4 SE%. SW%., and the W%z W%z SW'/4 SE'/4, lying
south of the right-of-way granted to Deschutes County for Cottonwood Road,
and east of the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railraod right-of-way.

Railroad right-of-way.

WHEREAS, the subject land lies within or adjacent to the exterior boundaries of the Deschutes
National Forest; and

WHEREAS, the exchange of land will benefit both the U.S. Forest Service and Sunriver LLC by
consolidation of each party's landholdings, and therefore, be beneficial to Deschutes County; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, supports the transfer
of federal land described above having Weeks Law status from the U.S. Forest Service to Sunriver LLC.
