COUNTY CLFRK RESOLUTION NO. 00-001 WHEREAS, a public access easement located in Section 24, Township 14 South, Range 10 East Deschutes County, Oregon, has been offered to the County for acceptance, and the County intends to accept such access easement for purposes of this vacation proceeding; and WHEREAS, the owners of land abutting the proposed easement portion to be vacated, petitioned for the vacation of a portion of that easement; and WHEREAS, the status of the easement segment as a public easement is not clear and it is beneficial to adjoining property owners to clarify the status of that easement segment; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined it to be in the public interest to consider such vacation in combination with a proposed replacement easement; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: 0 Section 1. That it is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, to vacate a 60 -foot wide easement offered for public access located in Section 24, Township 14 South, Range 10 East described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, because it appears the easement is not needed for public use, and will not be needed in the future. Section 2. That the County Road Official shall file a Report with the Board of Commissioners, describing the ownership and uses of property to be vacated, and whether the vacation would be in the public interest, within fourteen (14) days of the date of this Resolution.
