WHEREAS, by a resolution signed on December 13, 1999, and offered for filing with the
Board of the Sisters -Camp Sherman Rural Fire Protection District (hereafter referred to as "the
District") Board of Directors has requested the annexation of certain territory into the District; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the resolution is in proper form and can be accepted
for filing; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to consider the petition, and notice of that hearing
must be provided in accordance with ORS 198.800; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That the District resolution requesting annexation of territory into the District, a
copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That a hearing on the annexation petition be held on February 23, 2000, which
petition may be referred to as the "Sisters -Camp Sherman 2000 Annexation Petition."
Section 3. That a notice in a form consistent with that set forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto
and by this reference incorporated herein be provided in accordance with ORS 198.800(2).

A Resolution Initiating the Annexation
Of Six Tracts of Land into the District
RESOLUTION NO. N— /,� 13
WHEREAS, the Sisters -Camp Sherman Rural Fire Protection District (the District), a rural
fire protection district organized under ORS Chapter 478, has determined that it is advisable to
annex certain properties into the boundaries of the District; and
WHEREAS, ORS 198.850(2) authorizes the District to initiate annexation proceedings by
resolution of the District board of directors; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to ORS 198.725, as between Jefferson and Deschutes County,
Deschutes County is the principal county within which the District is located; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE SISTERS -CAMP
SHERMAN RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, as follows:
Section 1. That the Sisters -Camp Sherman Rural Fire Protection District wishes to
have those tracts of land described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein, annexed into the District.
Section 2. That pursuant to ORS 198.850(2) the Sisters -Camp Sherman Rural Fire
Protection District hereby initiates the process to have the Board of County Commissioners for
Deschutes County annex those tracts of and described in Exhibit A into the District.
Sectlon 3. That the District requests that the Board of County Commissioners for
Deschutes County hold such hearings and give such notice as is required by law to consider the
District's request for annexation.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
A public hearing regarding the proposed annexation into Sisters -Camp Sherman
Rural Fire Protection District will be held on Wednesday, r,��.. a 3, 2000, at
10 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners' Hearing Room, Administration
Building, 1130 NW Harriman Street, Bend, Oregon.
The boundaries of the proposed annexation are as specified in Exhibit 1, attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
The purpose of the proposed annexation is to provide fire protection services for the
inhabitants of the proposed area to be annexed.
All interested persons may appear and be heard.
The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. For the deaf or hard of hearing, an
interpreter or assistive listening system will be provided with 48 hours notice.
Materials in alternate formats may be made available with 48 hours notice. To
arrange for these services or for more information, please contact Bonnie Baker at
