County Board of Commissioners Deschutes Count. Dear Linda, j(0 'X"19 Al , . 'keo J10 We are requesting a modification of our Deschutes County Extension budget that was adopted by the Budget Committee. We are asking for approval of $2,035 to upgrade our existing phone system. Funds would be taken out of our contingency line. The additional hardware or about $1,750 of the requested funds will be able to move with us to a new building. Our need arose after the budget was developed. Our staff has increased with a recent grant and we are also adding volunteers to assist us with our front office service to customers. This effort is in line with our goal to improve customer service. The current phone system has reached capacity and cannot handle additional voice mail boxes or phone units.
