Steve Scott indicated that a week ago an offer had been received by the County
from the same potential purchaser, and it was rejected; and that the prospective
purchaser's new offer is much closer to the asking price. He stated that he would
like to get the County's permission to counter-offer at full price, $175,500, under
the same terms, 10% down, 8.5% interest.
Jim Bonnarens indicated that he has reviewed the document and it contains
standard contingencies, including a contingency that the purchase is subject to
the purchaser being able to obtain a conditional use permit for a single family
dwelling within 90 days. He stated that, as it typical, the purchaser would pay
for this process. He further said the prospective purchaser is aware that the
County will not be providing a formal survey, but that the corners would be
marked to the best of the County's ability.
DEWOLF: I move to accept and sign these counter-offer documents.
DEWOLF: I second.
