ORDER NO. 2000 — 105
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, by Order
Number 2000-087 dated August 9, 2000 set a public hearing for the above proposed road vacation;
and,
WHEREAS, an error in the hearing notice requires the date of the public hearing to be changed; now
therefore;
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. Section 2 and Section 3 of Order No. 2000-087 shall be amended to read as
follows:
Section 2. That on Wednesday, October 25, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. at the LaPine High School,
51633 Coach Road, LaPine, Oregon 97739, the Board will hold a hearing to determine whether
vacation of the subject property, described in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein, is in the public interest.
Section 3. Notice of said hearing shall be provided by posting and publication in a form that
substantially conforms with Exhibit "1 ", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein,
pursuant to ORS 368.346(3) and 368.401 to 368.426.

Street Vacation
In Lapine, Oregon
Vacating a portion of Main Street, located in Government Lot 2 in the Northwest
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 22 South, Range 10
East of the Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 2, said corner is located on the
West line of Main Street; thence South 0621'46" West along the West line of
said Lot 2 a distance of 291.44 feet to the North line of 3rd Street as it presently
exists; thence South 89a44'04" East along said North line a distance of 24.97 feet
to the Westerly line of Huntington Road as it presently exists; thence North 140
03' 53" East along said Westerly line a distance of 147.86 feet to the point of
intersection with the East line of Main Street and the Westerly line of Huntington
Road, said point of intersection is monumented with a 5/8 inch diameter rebar
with yellow plastic cap marked "DEJARNATT LS 2208" as shown per Partition Plat
No. 1990-66 as filed in the Deschutes County Clerk's Office; thence North 00021'
46" East along the East line of said Main Street a distance of 148.37 feet to the
North line of the above-mentioned Government Lot 2; thence South 89F45'41-
West
945'41"
West along said North line a distance 60.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 0.34 acres more or less.
The "Basis of Bearings" for the above-described land is the North line of
Government Lot 2 as shown per the Partition Plat No. 1990-66 as filed in the

NOTICE OF ROAD VACATION HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WILL
HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON OCTOBER 25, 2000, AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE LAPINE HIGH
SCHOOL, 51633 COACH ROAD, LAPINE, OR 97739, ON THE PROPOSED ROAD VACATION
PROCEEDING DESCRIBED BELOW. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS MAY APPEAR AND BE
HEARD.
In response to a petition by landowners, Deschutes County initiated the vacation of a
portion of Main Street, located in LaPine in Deschutes County be vacated.
NOTE:
SUBJECT TO the reservation of a utilities easement in and upon all of the property; for the
purposes of continuing, constructing, installing, maintaining, repairing, reconstructing, replacing,
enlarging and altering; wires, poles, pipes, lines, structures, casings supports, equipment, facilities
and appurtenances; at the present and in the future; necessary or convenient; to Deschutes
County, a political subdivision of the State of Oregon, its agents, licensees and permittees;
forever.

ORS 368.326 to 368.366 provides authority for road vacation.
