A Resolution Concerning
Ballot Measures No. 91, 93
And 8 on the 2000 Oregon
General Election Ballot
RESOLUTION NO. 2000-076
WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners is dedicated to providing
needed public services to the citizens and business of Deschutes County; and
WHEREAS, the impacts of Ballot Measures No. 91, 93 and 8, should they be approved by
the voters in November 2000, will be significant for Deschutes County and all of Oregon; and
WHEREAS, the costs of these initiatives to Deschutes County, the State of Oregon, and
especially those who need the education, public safety, public health, sewer, water and other
services that our state and local governments provide, far outweigh the possible benefits;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Deschutes County Board of
Commissioners stands in opposition to the Constitutional amendments proposed by Ballot
Measures No. 91, 93 and 8 on the November 2000 general election.
