EXCERPT OF MINUTES OF WORK SESSION Mike Daly
DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2001
Chair Tom De Wolf opened the meeting at 10: 00 a. m.
Present were Commissioners Tom De Wolf, Dennis Luke and Mike Daly. Also
present were George Read, and Tom Anderson, Community Development; Mike
Maier, County Administrator; Tom Blust, Roger Olson and George Kolb, Road
Department; Timm Schimke, Solid Waste; and Ted Schassberger and Jenny
Scanlon, Commissioners' Office. Also in attendance were Roger Kryzanek, Mental
Health Department; Jim Bonnarens, Property Management; and Rick Isham,
Legal Counsel. Two citizens and two members of the media were present.
1. Before the Board was Citizen Input.
None was offered.
3. Before the Board was a Discussion and Consideration of Signature of the
2001-2003 Biennial Alcohol/Drug Implementation Plan.
Roger Kryzanek gave a brief overview of the plan. He explained that counties
are required to submit a biennial alcohol/drug implementation plan, and that the
plan being submitted for the Board's approval has already been approved by the
Commission on Children and Families as well as the Local Alcohol and Drug
Planning Committee. He stated that the plan does not propose new initiatives or
expenditures, but provides the state with information that it has requested. He
further said that funding "equity" is identified as a major issue for Deschutes
County.

Being no further action taken, Chair Tom De Wolf adjourned the meeting at 10:35
a.m.
