WHEREAS, Deschutes County applied to change a road name pursuant=to�De #utes
County's Uniform House Numbering and Road Naming System, Title 16, to change the nafhe of
a portion of Sheep Lane,(also known as Mountain Sheep Lane) to Bear Lane, `located in
Township 21 South, Range 10 East, W. M., Section 3; and
WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Community Development Department has reviewed
the proposed name change and approved it pursuant to Title 16; and
WHEREAS, all public notices required to be given under Title 16 regarding the proposed
name change have been given; and
WHEREAS, the appeal period for appealing the Community Development Department's
approval has expired; and
WHEREAS, Title 16 requires that road names be changed by order of the Board of
County Commissioners; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That the name of this portion of Sheep Lane be changed to Bear Lane, as
shown on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
Section 2. That the Community Development Department take such further steps as
are required to ensure thatt the road is so identified for all purposes.
