BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
An Order Establishing a Designated Speed of 35 mph on
all of Tall Pine Avenue located in Woodside Ranch
Subdivision, Deschutes County, Oregon
ORDER NO. 2002-032
WHEREAS, pursuant to ORS 810.180 paragraph.(8), Section(a), the Board of County
Commissioners as a road authority have been delegated authority by the Oregon Department of
Transportation designate reasonable and safe speeds on low volume or not hard surfaced County roads;
and
WHEREAS, the County exercises its authority according to criteria adopted by the Oregon
Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Tall Pine Avenue lies outside the corporate limits of any city; and
WHEREAS, it appears that a safety necessity exists on all of Tall Pine Avenue; now therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON ORDERS
as follows:
Section 1. The designated speed of 35 mph be assigned to all of Tall Pine Avenue.
Section 2. That the County Road official erect appropriate signing according to ORS
810.200 requirements giving notice of the established speed.
Section 3. That any previous order with respect to the designated speed for the above road
which is in conflict with the provisions of this order is hereby rescinded.

Dear Mr. Judd:
In accordance with our conversation of 06/21/2001, the Woodside Ranch Homeowner's
Association is requesting a try. ffic speed study be conducted on the following transitional
streets within the Woodside Ranch Subdivision: Pine Vista Drive (between Knott Road
and Woodside Road) and Woodside Road (between Knott Road and Woodside Loop).
The recommended maximum speed to be set at 30 or 35 miles per hour.
