2002-205-Resolution No. 2002-021 Recorded 4/3/2002DESC COUNTY OFFICIAL MARYSUEHSPENHOLLOW, COUNTYCLERKQ2002'205 RE MARY JOURNAL 04/03/200103:53:52 PM LEG UNSEL For Recording Stamp Only BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON A Resolution Adopting the Community Investment Plan RESOLUTION NO. 2002-021 WHEREAS, in the matter of adopting the updated Community Investment Plan and where appropriate utilizing the priorities contained within the Plan as guidance in directing resources toward community and economic development activities; and WHEREAS, Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties have entered into an agreement to create the Central Oregon Community Investment Board for the purpose of preparing a regional investment plan and rural action plan and receiving regional investment funds and rural investment funds; and WHEREAS, regions that fail to submit a regional investment plan and rural investment plan shall not receive moneys for projects and activities to implement those plans from the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department; and WHEREAS, the Central Oregon Community Investment Board has updated the Central Oregon Community Investment Plan to meet the statutory requirements for preparation of both the regional investment and rural investment plans; and WHEREAS, the Two -Year Implementation Plan contained within the Central Oregon Community Investment Plan includes the county project priority lists adopted by each county during the 2002 Needs and Issues Inventory process and will serve as the region's Rural Action Plan; and WHEREAS, the Central Oregon Community Investment Plan will also be utilized as the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council, a federally recognized economic development district; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the governing body of Deschutes County hereby adopts the updated Central Oregon Community Investment Plan, recommends that it be submitted to the Oregon Economic and Community Development Commission and the Governor of the State of Oregon for consideration under the 2001-03 regional investment and rural investment programs, and commits to utilizing the priorities contained within the Plan as guidance in directing resources towards community and economic development activities where appropriate.
