ORDER NO. 2002-080 WHEREAS, Deschutes County applied to change a road name pursuant to Deschutes County's Code, Title 16, Uniform House Numbering and Road Naming System, to change the name of just this portion of Hawks Beard to Mahonia, located in Township 14 South, Range 9 East, Section 22 W.M.; and WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Community Development Department has reviewed the proposed name and approved it pursuant to DCC Chapter 16.16; and WHEREAS, all public notices required to be given under DCC 16.16.030(B)(6) regarding the proposed name have been given; and WHEREAS, the appeal period for appealing the Community Development Department's approval has expired; and WHEREAS, DCC 16.16.030(1) requires that road names be changed by order of the Board of County Commissioners; now, therefore, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ORDERS as follows: Section 1. That the name of just this portion of Hawks Beard be changed to Mahonia as set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein. Section 2. That the Community Development Department take such further steps as are required to ensure that the road is so identified for all purposes.
