Luke MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING Mike Daly DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TUESDAY, JULY 109 2002 Commissioners' Hearing Room - Administration Building 1130 NW Harriman St., Bend Present were Commissioners Tom De Wolf, Dennis R. Luke and Michael M. Daly. Also present was Laurie Craghead, Legal Counsel. There were no media representatives or other citizens at the hearing. This public hearing was held on an Appeal of the County Hearings Officer's Decision (File #DR -01-5) Regarding Applicable Side Yard Setbacks in an F-2 (Forest Use) Zone (Applicants: Jeffrey and Patty Dowell.) Chair Tom De Wolf opened the meeting at 3: 00 p.m. Laurie Craghead explained that a letter was received from the applicants' attorney, Robert Lovlien, indicating that the circuit court case on this issue (Kuhn v. Dowell) had been delayed. He asked for a continuance of the hearing before the Board. He further indicated in his letter that the applicants are waiving the 150 -day clock with respect to this appeal. (Note: A copy of the correspondence from Mr. Lovlien on behalf of his clients, Jeff and Pat Dowell, is attached as Exhibit A.) The Board continued the hearing to a date certain, Wednesday, July 24, at 10:00 a.m., at their regular Board meeting in the County Administration Building.
