Maier, Director DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MONDAY, JULY 229 2002 Present were Commissioners Tom De Wolf, Dennis R. Luke and Michael M. Daly. County Administrator Mike Maier was unable to attend. Also present were Susan Mayea Ross, Tammy Credicott, Renee Warner and Timm Schimke. The meeting began at 1: 30 p.m. A Comparison of Stationery Printing Costs. A discussion occurred regarding the County -wide use of a specific letterhead and other printing for consistency. Also discussed was the public perception that might occur when departments send out documents printed in color, which is more expensive than other printing. Renee Warner indicated that it costs approximately five times more for a piece of professionally printed letterhead when compared to sending documents to printer/copier equipment. 2. Offers on County -Owned Property. A discussion took place to clarify the process for dealing with the listing and sale of County -owned properties. Discussion regarding Life and Long -Term Disability Providers. Timm Schimke went over the details of the Employee Benefits Advisory Committee's recommendations in regard to a change of provider for life and long-term disability insurance. This change would mean a reduction in the cost, keeping the amount under the budgeted amount. Chair DeWolf asked that some research be done on the recommended provider, Jefferson Pilot Company. No decision was made by the Board at this time.
