BEFORE THE GOVERNING BODY OF SUNRIVER SERVICE DISTRICT,
DESC1 UTES COUNTY, OREGON
A Resolution electing to consider joining PERS
and delegating to the Managing Board of the * RESOLUTION NO. 2002-073
Sunriver Service District authority to take any
necessary actions to enter into an agreement
with PERS.
WHEREAS the Sunriver Service District was created on June 12, 2002 by Order No. 2002-085 of the
Deschutes County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS the Deschutes County Commissioners acting as the Sunriver Service District Governing
Board delegated the management of the Sunriver Service District to the Managing Board pursuant to Order No.:
2002-095 on June 26, 2002, and
WHEREAS the Managing Board has resolved to consider joining the Oregon Public Employees
Retirement System (aka PERS) and to apply for acceptance into the State & Local Government Rate Pool, and
WHEREAS the Governing Body must make formal resolution to elect to consider joining the Oregon
Public Employees Retirement System for the Sunriver Service District, and
WHEREAS the Governing Body of the Sunriver Service District desires to delegate the Managing
Board, or their designee, to act for the Sunriver Service District to take any necessary action to enter into an
agreement with PERS; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE SUNRIVER SERVICE DISTRICT
as follows:

Section 1. The Sunriver Service District elects to consider joining PERS and hereby delegates to
the Managing Board of the Sunriver Service District, or its designee, authority to take any necessary
actions to enter into an agreement with PERS.
