BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
An Order Providing for Deschutes County to
Exchange Real Property Pursuant to * ORDER NO. 2003-072
Deschutes County Code Chapter 11.08 y
WHEREAS, 275.100 and Deschutes County Code (DCC) Chapter 11.08 provide that
Deschutes County may exchange real property; and
WHEREAS, on April 30, 2003, the Board of County Commissioner ("Board") declared its initial
intent to exchange real property with the Baldwin-Herndon Family Trust; and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed hearing before the Board was held on June 11, 2003 and no
objections were filed; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the exchange of the real property generally described herein
in Exhibit 'A, " attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is in the best interest of
Deschutes County; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
AUTHORIZES AND ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That the real property generally described in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein, be available to be exchanged by Deschutes County with the
Baldwin-Herndon Family Trust.
Section 2. That upon review and approval of title by the Deschutes County Legal Counsel, the
exchange of real properties referenced is hereby authorized in accordance with this Order.
Section 3. The acting Deschutes County Property Manager is authorized to take those actions
reasonably necessary to implement this Order.

A parcel located in the north'/2 of the southwest'/4 of Section 11 of Township 22 South and Range 10
East of the Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon as shown on the attached map and fully
described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of said north %2; thence North 89°27' 19" West 1422.26 feet to a
5/8" iron rod at the point of beginning; thence North 89°27' 19" West 755.01 feet to a 5/8" iron rod on
the easterly right-of-way of Huntington Road; thence following said easterly right-of-way, North
00°24' 19" East 201.95 feet to a 5/8" iron rod; thence 464.56 feet along the arc of a 1403.76 foot radius
curve right (the long chord of which bears North 09°53' 10" East 462.44 feet) to a 5/8" iron rod; thence

East 128.84 feet to a 2" brass cap at the northeast corner of said north %2 of the southwest'/4; thence
North 89°02' 19" West 1875.02 feet, along the north line of said north %2 of the southwest 1/4, to a 3"
