RE: Boones Borough Speed Study
Dear Gary:
I am writing in regard to Deschutes County's speed study that was recently
completed by the county at Sylvan Knolls-Boones Borough. Pursuant to our
conversation last Thursday, it is my understanding that the study only affected
McGrath Road, but that we are free to request that other speed studies be done on
other roads within Sylvan Knolls-Boones Borough.
I spoke with Stephanie Mays, our president, and we would also like speed studies to
be done on Sylvan Loop, Dale Road, Boones Borough Drive, and Katie/Joe Neil
Road. These, along with McGrath Road, are the longer roads within Sylvan Knolls-
Boones Borough, and we would also like a 35 MPH speed limit placed on these
roads. We would hate to create a situation where high-speed drivers would choose
these other roads and avoid McGrath because it was the only road in Sylvan Knolls-
Boones Borough with a 35 MPH speed limit.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Very truly yours,
