WHEREAS, it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County 911 County Service
District Budget;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES

As we discussed this morning, I would recommend transferring the appropriation amount for a full year for the two
positions, which is $94,804.76. Attached below is a spreadsheet detailing the personnel cost for one position. The
reason for this recommendation, as we discussed, is that it will provide an apples -to -apples comparison to the Budget
Committee when analyzing the change from the FY 03-04 Budget to the FY 04-05 Recommended Budget. If you
concur, we will prepare the resolution for this amount. Thank you.

The 9-1-1 Executive Board at their September meeting authorized the hiring of two additional telecommunicator.
These two positions would be in addition to those staff members specified in our Budget of 2003/2004.
Would you please prepare a resolution for the Board of County Commissioners allocating $75,000. out of our
contingency to fund these positions. The line item number for these positions is 705-7500-429-12-12.
