ORDINANCE NO. 83-023
WHEREAS, Certain grant funded positions are funded for one
year or less; and
WHEREAS, these positions are temporary positions, even though
the employee may work a full work week during the continuance of
the grant; and
WHEREAS, grant funded employees, employed by reason of a
grant which is anticipated to be in duration of one year or less,
are not permanent full-time employees; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDAINS as follows:
Section 1. The definition of a temporary full-time employee
as set forth in SECTION 0.0 DEFINITIONS, of Deschutes County
Personnel Rules, is amended to read as follows:
"Temporary Full-time Employee. A person who has been
hired by the County to work at least thirty-two (32)
hours per week, but not on a regular full-time basis,
or a person who has been hired pursuant to a grant to
the County, the duration of which is for a period of
one year or less in a position which has not been
classified as a regular full-time position by the
Board of County Commissioners."
Section 2. This Ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this Ordinance takes effect on its passage.
