WHEREAS, a final hearing regarding the formation of the
LaPine Emergency Medical Services District was held on September
22, 1982; and
and
WHEREAS, said hearing was continued until October 6, 1982;
WHEREAS, sufficient requests for an election were filed by
resident voters within the District; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. An election be held for voters resident within
the territory described in this section on March 29, 1983, to vote
on the formation of the LaPine Emergency Medical Services District
proposed to be formed for the purpose of providing facilities for
the care of sick and injured persons, as provided in ORS 440.315
to 440.410, within the territory described in Exhibit "All and
depicted on the map marked Exhibit "B", attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein.
Section 2. That an election be held on the same date for the
purpose of electing the five (5) member Board of Directors of the
District.
Section 3. Notice of nominations for candidates for
membership on the Board of the District be published on or about
January 17, 1983, as provided for by ORS 255.035.
Section 4. Notice of election on the question of District
formation be published on or about February 23, 1983, as provided
in ORS 255.055.

section of the south line of Section 34 Township 22 South Range 6 East W.M. and the Summit
of the Cascade Range; thence northerly along said Summit (also the west line of Deschutes
County) to its intersection with the north line of Section 23 Township 19 South Range 7
