2004-730-Resolution No. 2004-038 Recorded 4/27/2004VIE LEGAL COUNSEL COUNTY OFFICIAL, NANCYUTES BLANKENSH P, COUNTY CLERKDS CJ 200030 COMMISSIONERS' JOURNAL II111111IIIIIII������i�iiiu ��� 04/11/1004 03;15;16 PM 2004-730 BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON A Resolution Declaring the Intention to Transfer Real Property to Newberry Area Habitat for Humanity, an Oregon Non -Profit Corporation, to be Used Exclusively for the Provision of Low Income Housing, Setting a Hearing for the Purpose of Hearing Objections to the Transfer and Providing Notice. * * * * RESOLUTION NO. 2004-038 * * WHEREAS, ORS 271.330 provides that Deschutes County may transfer surplus real property to a non- profit corporation for the purpose of providing low income housing; and WHEREAS, the Newberry Habitat for Humanity, Inc., has requested that the County transfer to it the County's interest in certain surplus real property without consideration; and WHEREAS, ORS 271.330 provides that said transfer shall only be made upon notice and after hearing; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1. That Deschutes County intends to transfer real property described as: Lot 5, JACOBSEN'S THIRD ADDITION, Deschutes County, Oregon. Also known as 1594 Cedar Lane, La Pine, Oregon, 97739. Section 2. That a hearing for the purpose of receiving objections to the above transfer will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room of the Deschutes County Administration Building, 1130 NW Harriman, Bend, Oregon. That the Clerk of the County Court shall give notice of the time and place for the hearing set in Section 2 of this resolution by publication of the notice marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, in "The Bulletin" once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the date of such hearing. LUKE, Commissioner EXHIBIT "A" PUBLIC NOTICE On Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room of the Deschutes County Administration Building, 1130 NW Harriman, Bend, Oregon, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, will hold a hearing on a land transfer between Deschutes County and Newberry Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit corporation providing low income housing in the State of Oregon. The land to be transferred by Deschutes County to Newberry Habitat for Humanity is described as follows: Lot 5, JACOBSEN'S THIRD ADDITION, Deschutes County, Oregon The parcel is located at 15942 Cedar Land, La Pine, Oregon. The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. Materials are available in alternate formats. For the deaf or hard of hearing, an interpreter or assistive listening system will also be provided with 48 hours notice.
