WHEREAS, on July 8, 1981, the Board of County Commissioners
of Deschutes County, Oregon, received the En
gineer's proposed assess-
ments against each parcel of land for the improvement of roads in
Crest Ridge Estates L.I.D.; and
WHEREAS, ORS 371.645 provides that
the Board must set a
public hearing by order of the Board to hear
objections to any such
proposed assessment; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That the Report of the Engineer, marked Exhibit
"A," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, is
hereby accepted, and that a public hearing for the purpose of hearing
objections to the proposed assessments shall be held on Tuesday,
July 21, 1981, at 10:00 A.M., in Conference Room A, Deschutes County
Courthouse Annex, Bend, Oregon.
Section 2. That the Director of Public Works, on behalf
of the Boar o County Commissioners, mail written notice within
five days of the date of said hearing to the owners of the parcels
described in Exhibit"A," identifying the parcel, showing the pro-
posed assessment, and giving notice of the hearing scheduled in
Section 1 of this Order.
Section 3. That the written notice to be given in
Section 2 shall comply substantially with the form of notice marked
Exhibit "B," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein.

SUBJECT: Crest Ridge Estates, L.I.D., K-30
Pursuant to ORS 371.645, I hereby ascertain the amount of assessment against
each parcel in the District for the improvement of all of the roads platted
in the Plat of Crest Ridge Estates, Plat Number 564, as filed and recorded
in the office of the County Clerk, Deschutes County, Oregon;
ALSO, a strip of land 60.00 feet in width, being 30.00 feet on each side of
the following-described centerline: Commencing at the Northeast one-
sixteenth corner of Section 11, Township 15 South, Range 12, East of the
Willamette Meridian; thence North 890 41' 02" West 445.50 feet along the South
line of said Plat of Crest Ridge Estates to the POINT OF BEGINNING on the
centerline of 74th Street as platted in said Plat of Crest Ridge Estates;
thence 0.50 feet along the arc of a curve to the left having a radius of
300.00 feet, the chord of which bears South 00 16' 52" East 0.50 feet;
thence, South 00 19' 45" East 1358.93 feet; thence, 383.02 feet along the arc
of a curve to the left having a radius of 100.00 feet, the chord of which
bears South 110 18' 06" East 380.68 feet; thence, South 220 16' 28" East
660.25 feet; thence, 98.44 feet along the arc of a curve 0to the right having
a radius of 100.00 feet, the chord of which bears South 5 55 37 West
94.51 feet; thence South 340 07' 43" East 1001.06 feet; thence, 125.07
feet along the arc of a curve to the right having a radius of 300.00 feet,
the chord of which bears South 460 04' 19" West -)4.17 feet; thence 38.84
feet along the arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 300.00 feet,
the chord of which bears South 540 18' 22" West 38.82 feet, to the terminus
of said centerline, being on the centerline of EagLe Drive (Old Redmond-Sisters
Highway), being 60.00 feet in width, and approximately 4 miles in length; as
shown on Exhibit 1, attached hereto and by this refereence incorporated herein.
The total cost of the improvement is $358,800.00. This is based on the
bid of the low bidder for the project and the estimated cost of engineering
and administration. My estimate was $378,000.00.
This is $19,200.00 under the estimate.

The Board of County Commissioners has ordered a hearing regarding
the road improvement affecting the above tax lot on Tuesday,
July 21, 1981, in Conference Room A, Deschutes County Courthouse
Annex, Bend, Oregon, at 10:00 A.M., for the purpose of hearing
objections to the assessments fixed in the Engineer's Report of
the road improvement abutting your property.
The proposed assessment for this parcel is shown above.
After this hearing, the Board will certify the assessments. When
the assessments are fixed, you will have until Monday, August 24,
1981, to apply to pay your assessment in installments. If you do
not apply to pay in installments, the total amount of the assessment
will be due and payable. An application will be mailed after the
assessment is fixed.
