Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries
WHEREAS, it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:
FROM: 670-7100-501.97-01 Insurance Reserve Fund,
Contingency $107,000
TO: 670-7100-415.18-75 Insurance Reserve Fund,
Extra Help $ 7,000
TO: 670-7100-415.52-11 Insurance Reserve Fund,
Liability Losses $100,000
Section 2. That the Finance Director make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes County
Budget document to show the above appropriations.

Re: Appropriations Transfer
Judi:
Several unanticipated liability settlements and continued litigation has depleted budgeted
resources, which now require a transfer from our contingency. Although I anticipate
continued revenue of approximately $200,000 from departmental insurance charges the
next two months, we also expect significant claim activity through the fiscal year.
We also are utilizing Personnel line items to pay for injured worker's wages while
recovering from work injuries; these unexpected costs will continue through the fiscal
year.
I need to transfer $100,000 from contingency to the Materials and Services category and
$7000 transferred to the Personnel category.
