ORDINANCE NO. 81-046
DESCHUTES CO NTY CLERK
WHEREAS, ORS 205.340 provides that the Board of County
Commissioners may set by Ordinance a fee for indexing every tract or
lot of land in the Direct or Indirect Indexes; and
WHEREAS, no fee has been established for such service; and
WHEREAS, additional personnel are needed in order to pro-
vide the indexing of documents in the Direct or Indirect Indexes;
now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDAINS as follows:
Section 1. That the fee to be charged for the indexing of
every tract or lot of land in the Direct and Indirect Indexes, except
the U. S. Tax Liens and the Record of Mines, pursuant to ORS 250.340
shall be ONE AND N01100 DOLLARS ($1.00) per document. Said fee shall
be paid to the Deschutes County Clerk by the person having said
instrument recorded, and the Deschutes County Clerk shall receive
said fee before accepting said instrument for recording.
Section 2. This Ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of public peace, health and safety, an emer-
gency is declared to exist, and this Ordinance takes effect on
January 1, 1982.
