WHEREAS, the owner of property abutting the proposed improve-
ment of a portion of Knott Road, a portion of Woodside Road and
Radcliffe Circle in Deschutes County, Oregon, has requested the
Board of County Commissioners to improve these roads; and
WHEREAS, it appears that such roads should be improved; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is in the public interest that
the Public Works Department of Deschutes County, Oregon, perform
required engineering and surveying for this improvement; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That proceedings be initiated to improve a
portion of Knott Road to the Deschutes County Arterial Standards
and improve a portion of Woodside Road and Radcliffe Circle to
Deschutes County Local Road Standards for the benefit of the area
described as follows:
All of the Plat of Brightenwood IV, Deschutes
County Plat #530, recorded July 30, 1980, in
Volume 19, Page 37, Deschutes County Deed
Records, and filed in Cabinet B-765 in the
office of the Deschutes County Clerk,

Excepting therefrom Lot 10 Block 4 of the
said Plat of Brightenwood IV.
Section 2. That the dedicated roads to be improved within
the district described in Section 1 of this Resolution is
described as follows:
All of the portion of Knott Road, portion of
Woodside Road and Radcliffe Circle described
in the Plat of Brightenwood IV, Deschutes
County Plat #530, recorded July 30, 1980, in
Volume 19, Page 37, Deschutes County Deed
Records, and filed in Cabinet B-765 in the
office of the Deschutes County Clerk.
Section 3. Improvements to be made to the roadway within the
district include all or part of, but are not limited to, the
following:
1. Subgrade preparation, including any necessary excava-
tion and embankment.
2. Placement of 40 -feet -wide crushed rock aggregate base
on the arterial road, and 32 feet wide crushed rock
aggregate base on the local roads.
3. Placement of an asphaltic concrete pavement surface
36 feet in width for the arterial road, and 24 feet
in width for the local roads.
4. Installation of street name signs, safety signs and
barrier rails as required, including traffic control
devices.
5. Engineering, surveying, legal, interim financing,
administration and planning, and construction of the
proposed improvements and any related costs.
Section 4. The road to be improved as a result of this
Resolution shall be improved to County Road Standards.
Section 5. This Resolution shall hereby be referred to the
County Engineer for investigation of the proposed improvements in
accordance with ORS 371.625. The County Engineer may engage the
services of any qualified engineer for all or part of the inves-
tigation required under ORS 371.625.
