WHEREAS, the owner of property abutting the proposed
of Sunnyside Boulevard in Deschutes County, Oregon, has
the Board of County Commissioners to improve this certain
WHEREAS, it appears that such road should be improved;
WHEREAS, it appears that it is in the public interest that
the Public Works Department of Deschutes County, Oregon, perform
required engineering and surveying for this improvement; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That proceedings be initiated to improve
Sunnyside Boulevard to the Deschutes County Arterial Standard for
the benefit of the area described as follows:
A tract of land lying in Sections 19, 20, 28, 29
and 30, Township 18 South, Range 12 East of the
Willamette Meridian, being more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of the Southeast one-quarter of said
Section 19, lying East of The Dalles-California
Highway; that portion of the South one-half of
said Section 20, lying West of the Brooks Scanlon
Logging Road also known as Forest Service Road
No. 1821; that portion of the West one-half of
the Northwest one-quarter of said Section 28,
lying West of said Brooks Scanlon Logging Road;
that portion of the North one-half of said Section
29, lying West of said Brooks Scanlon Logging Road;
that portion of the North one-half of said Section
30, lying East of said Dalles-California Highway.

Section 2. That the dedicated road to be improved within
the district described in Section 1 of this Resolution is described
as follows:
A strip of land 80.00 feet in width, being 40.00
feet in width on each side of the following -
described centerline:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of The Dalles-
California Highway (U.S. Highway 97) said point
bears South 79°37'43" West, 2958.55 feet from the
brass cap monument marking the Southwest corner
of Section 20, Township 18 South, Range 12 East,
of the Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County,
Oregon; thence, South 63°06'16" East, 628.60
feet; thence, 693.31 feet along the arc of a curve
to the left having a radius of 1432.39 feet, the
chord of which bears South 76°58'14" East, 686.56
feet; thence, North 89009148" East, 360.33 feet;
thence, 1050.67 feet along the arc of a curve to
the left having a radius of 1145.92 feet, the chord
of which bears North 62053148" East, 1014.25 feet;
thence, North 36°37'48" East, 429.25 feet; thence,
256.66 feet along the arc of a curve to the right
having a radius of 2864.79 feet, the chord of which
bears North 39°11'48" East, 256.57 feet, to a point
on the West line of said Section 20 which bears
North 1000'58" East 38.90 feet from said Southwest
corner of Section 30, thence, 469.79 feet continuing
along said arc of a curve to the right having a
radius of 2864.79 feet, the chord of which bears
North 46°27'40" East, 469.27 feet; thence, North
51009'33" East, 1040.97 feet; thence, 934.13 feet
along the arc of a curve to the right having a radius
of 2864.79 feet, the chord of which bears North
60°30'01" East, 929.99 feet; thence, North 69050'30"
East, 343.29 feet; thence, 590.09 feet along the arc
of a curve to the left having a radius of 1909.86
feet, the chord of which bears North 60°59'25" East,
587.75 feet; thence, North 52°08'20" East, 297.58
feet to the terminus point of this description on
the centerline of China Hat Road (F.S. Road No. 1821),
said terminus point bears South 42°21'53" East,
4360.99 feet from the iron pipe marking the Northwest
corner of said Section 20.
Section 3. Improvements to be made to the roadway within
the district include all or part of, but are not limited to, the
following:
1. Subgrade preparation.
2. Placement of 40 -foot -wide crushed rock aggregate
base.
3. Compaction of subgrade and application of leveling
courses as necessary.

4. Placement of 36 feet in width asphaltic
concrete pavement surface.
5. Installation of street safety signs and barrier
rails as required, including traffic control
devices.
6. Engineering, surveying, legal, interim financing,
administration and planning, and construction of
the proposed improvements and any related costs.
Section 4. The road to be improved as a result of this
Resolution sEaII-be improved to County Road Standards.
Section 5. This Resolution shall hereby be referred to
the County Engineer for investigation of the proposed improvements
in accordance with ORS 371.625. The County Engineer may engage the
services of any qualified engineer for all or part of the investigation
required under ORS 371.6ss2��5.
