WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners finds that the
planned expansion of Durus Industries, Inc., would foster the economic growth
of Deschutes County and legislative policy as set forth in ORS 280.310,
and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the project is consistent with the
Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan and the State-wide Planning Goals adopted
by the Land Conservation and Development Commission pursuant to ORS Chapter 197,
and with provisions of the Overall Economic Development Plan of Deschutes
County, and
WHEREAS, ORS 280.330 requires, before the issuance of revenue bonds
by the State of Oregon, that the governing body of the County endorse the
project, and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the expansion of Durus Industries, Inc.,
in Deschutes County would be in the best interests of the citizens of Deschutes
County,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
That Deschutes County request the Economic Development Commission
and the State of Oregon to assist in the financing of Durus Industries, Inc.,
planned expansion in Deschutes County, through the issuance of revenue bonds
secured by the improvements as provided by ORS 280.310 to ORS 280.390.
