Pursuant to the provisions of Oregon Revised Statutes 198.705 to 198.955, a petition signed by the Board of Directors of RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT #2 has been filed with the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners resolving that proceedings to annex certain territory located in Deschutes County? Oregon, more particularly described as follows, be initiated: A parcel of land located in the West half of the West half of Section 16, T. 18 S., R. 13 E., W.M. Deschutes County, Oregon more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Section 16; thence N 01%4'40" E 1321.54 feet; thence N 01004'47" E 1321.65 feet; thence N 01005'56" E 1321.53 feet; thence S 89°41'11" E 1309.86 feet; thence S 00°59'02" W 1321.72 feet; thence S 00°57'47" W 1322.15 feet; thence S 00°58'19" W 1322.34 feet; thence N 89"37'02" W 1317.62 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 120.0 acres more or less. Section II. On the 21st day of May, 1980 at 10:00 a.m. at the Deschutes County Courthouse Annex, Bend, Oregon, Conference Room A, a hearing will be held by the Deschutes County Commissioners for the purpose of receiving any protests to the proposed annexation by any interested persons. All interested persons may appear and be heard. Section III. The petitioners desire to annex said property to RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 2 because the annexation will contribute to the orderly growth and development of both the district and the territory proposed to be annexed. Section IV. The Deschutes County Commissioners will cause to be posted this notice of said hearing in at least three public places and published by two insertions in a newspaper of general circulation within the area to be annexed. Section V. Approval of the Resolution for annexation by the Deschutes County Commissioners as presented or modified will result in an order being entered so declaring and fixing a place and time not less than 20 nor more than 50 days after the date of the order for a Final Hearing on the Resolution. The order shall declare that if written requests for an election are not filed in accordance with ORS 198.810 (2), the Commissioners may at the time of the Final Hearing enter their order author- izing the proposed annexation.
