34-72-Resolution Recorded 2/14/1980$ VOL 34 gas BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY In the Matter of ) Gasohol Production ) RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Deschutes County energy policy is to promote and encourage local alternative energy resources, as discussed in the County's Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, gasohol appears to be a feasible alternative to conventional vehicle fuel; and WHEREAS, gasohol production utilizes the products of local agricultural operations; and WHEREAS, because of the foregoing, the Board finds that exploration of potential energy-saving benefits of gasohol is in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners supports local efforts by private persons in establishing structures and processes necessary to the research and manufacture of gasohol, in conformance with Federal and State statutes, and the County Comprehensive Plan, zoning ordinance, and such other conditions as may be necessary to safeguard the public health and safety.
