Robert Wells Mr. & Mrs. Theo Hezwick Larry Romaine Lucia Venator Charles Plummer Nora Bell John Killen Bill Merrill Chester Petford La Donna Moore, Secretary rat 28 Pw 913 Chairman Young called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. First item on the agenda were a number of hearings for the establishment of County roads. Chairman Young said he would read one order in its entirety, which would cover all the roads to be established and then open each hearing for any objections that there might be. Chairman Young then opened the hearings for establishment of all of Lancelot Avenue, Camelot Place, King Arthur Court, and Guinevere Court, all in Vintage Faire Subdivision. There were no objections registered and the hearings were closed. Charlie Plummer, Roadmaster, recommended that these roads be accepted into the County and said they added up to approximately .6 of a mile. Commissioner Grubb moved for adoption of these roads and Commissioner Montgomery seconded it. Vote was unanimous. Next Chairman Young opened the hearing for the establishment of all of Volare Lane, Chuckanut, Springcrest Drive, Pam Place, Mahogany Drive, Cann Lane, and Targee Drive, all in Romaine Village Unit 8 Subdivision. Charlie Plummer asked that the Commission set aside these road establishments because some road require- ments that need to be done have not and we cannot accept them at this point. Commissioner Montgomery asked if the parties involved had been advised of what needs to be done and Charlie Plummer said yes they had. Mr. Leonard Thompson of the Romaine Village Association read a letter to the Commissioners saying that the Association is opposed to the acceptance of these roads into the County system until all the requirements have been met. Chairman Young said that these road establishments would be set aside until the lst Courtday in October and asked if this would be ample time to do all the work required. Charlie Plummer said it would be and Commissioner Grubb thanked the citizens that came to let the County know about these roads. Next hearing on the agenda was the establishment of all of J -D Estates Drive in J -D Ranch Estates. Chairman Young opened the hearing, and since there were no objections, the hearing was closed. This represents less than 1/2 mile of road. Commissioner Montgomery made a motion to adopt this order, and Commissioner Grubb seconded it. Vote was unanimous. Chairman Young moved to the discussion of the Road Department or General Fund Bills. There was no discussion so he moved on to the next item. His term will expire September 6, 1981. Commissioner Montgomery moved for acceptance of this appointment, and Commissioner Grubb seconded it. Vote was unanimous. Chairman Young moved on to discussion from those present. Commissioner Grubb said that the site plan review committee has reviewed the site plan for the shopping center North of town and the Commissioners are recommending it be taken to the Bend City Planning Commission before any steps are taken by the County. Chairman Young agreed that we should extend the City that courtesy, and the Planning Department has been instructed to take it to the City first.
