IN THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter ) of File No. Z-78-36 ) 0 R D E R Zone Change Request by Walter ) Wing from A-1, Exclusive ) Agriculture to SR-1, Suburban ) Residential ) This matter coming before the Board of Commissioners upon the Hearings Officer's recommendations, who held a public hearing on this issue, July 6, 1978, and recommended approval, And it further appearing to the Board upon reviewing the Hearings Officer record in the matter that the following findings of fact were established: 1. The Bend Area General Plan designates the site within a Development Alternative area to be developed to urban standard residential densities as community facilities become available,primarily water and sewer. In the absence of a committed sewer system, lots as small as 14,000-20,000 may be developed. This proposal would create lots as small as 20,000 square feet. 2. The Bend area has been experiencing a rapid growth rate recently and housing and lots are sold in very short periods of time which tend to indicate a need for more buildable lands. 3. The proposal is in conformance with the Comprehensive Plan, and is adjacent to recently approved subdivisions of a similar type. The County deeming this action to be in the public interest, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the zoning of the following described property be changed from A-1 to SR-1 as shown on the attached map: South side of Boyd Acres Road, approx. 4 mile North of Fred Meyers Road, tax lot 1100, T17S, R12E, Section 16D. fln 45 'Page 2.
