29-47-Order Recorded 9/20/1978IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN THE STATE OF OREGON V 2_9 47 FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter of File No. Z-78-32 Zone Change Request by Lewis & Clark Management Co. from A-1, Exclusive Agriculture to R-1, Single Family Residential This matter coming before the Board of Commissioners upon the Hearings Officer's recommendations, who held a public hearing on this issue, June 27, 1978, and recommended approval, And it further appearing to the Board upon reviewing the Hearings Officer record in the matter that the following findings of fact were established: 1. The Redmond Area portion of the Comprehensive Plan designates the site within an Urban Residential Reserve Area. Because of the location of the high school site, the plan anticipated development of these areas by 1980. This site would have all community services including sewer and water and would therefore seem to be in conformance with the plan. 2. Much of Central Oregon has been cited as having a shortage of housing and this proposal would help to alleviate some of that shortage. It would seem to be in the interest of the public to develop fully serviced residential lots rather than semi-served large lot subdivisions. The County deeming this action to be in the public interest, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the zoning of the following described property be changed from A-1 to R-1 as shown on the attached map: West side of 23rd Street, approx. 700 feet South of Hwy 126, tax lot 2905, T15S, R13E, Section 17. Done by the order of the Board of County Commissioners this 20th day of Septemebr, 1978, to become effective immediately.
