29-150-Order Recorded 10/4/1978w a r IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS vat 29, 150 ~1~ IN THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter ) of ) Zone Change Request by Jeff ) O R D E R Heath, from A-1, Exclusive ) Agriculture to SR-1, Suburban ) Residential ) This matter coming before the Board of County Commissioners upon the Hearings Officer's recommendations, who held a public hearing on this issue, May 30, 1978, and recommended approval, And it further appearing to the Board upon reviewing the Hearings Officer record in the matter that the following findings of fact were established: 1. The currently published Bend Area General Plan designates a portion of the property as SR-1. At the time of the filing of the application herein the joint Deschutes County-City of Bend Planning Commission had not yet approved an urban growth boundary expansion to include this site. Subsequent to the application and prior to the hearing on May 30, 1978, the joint City-County Planning Commission did in fact approve an urban growth boundary expansion of the urban growth boundary expansion to include this site. Although findings of fact have not yet been approved, ex- pansion of the urban growth boundary to include the property in question, and designating the entire site as suitable for 20,000 sq. ft. parcel sizes, makes the SR-1 zone consistent and in conformance therewith. 2. As evidenced by the applicant's supplemental information and the staff report, the property immediately to the West of this parcel was recently zoned SR-1 and the preliminary plat has been submitted for development of that property. 3. This parcel provides a natural progression of growth, has ready access to the existing commercial and industrial area of Bend and planned industrial areas and has the further advantage of lying within an area which has been recently been reviewed and approved for suburban residential growth by the joint City/ County Planning Commissions. The County deeming this action to be in the public interest, IT IS HEREBY ORDEIItED that the zoning of the following described property be changed from A-1 to SR-1, as shown on the attached map: VOL 29 FACE 151 Page 2. File No. Z-78-18 South side of Ferguson Road approx. 4 mile East of the COI Canal, or more specifically tax lot 1000, T18S, R12E, Section 15, approx. 30 acres.
