29-179-Order Recorded 10/4/1978I IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF DESCHUTES In the Matter ) of File No. Z-78-54 ) Zone Change Request by Fred ) O R D E R Lonely, from A-1, Exclusive ) Agriculture, to SR-1, Suburban ) Residential ) VOL 29 X179 This matter coming before the County Board of Commissioners upon the Hearings Officer's recommendations, who held a public hearing on this issue, September 7, 1978, and recommended approval, And it further appearing to the Board in reviewing the Hearing Officer record in the matter that the following findings of fact were established: 1. The total acreage involved is approximately 96 acres and has been recently designated as within the Bend Urban Growth Boundary as a Suburban High Density Residential area. The SR-1 zoning sought by the applicant is the appropriate zone to im- plement the urban density. Also, the proposed urban area has a zoning ordinance which would automatically rezone the applicant's A-1, Exclusive Agricultural land to an SR-20 zone. This ordinance is to have its final action by the Deschutes County Planning Commission on Wednesday, September 13, wherein it is expected to be favorably acted upon. Even in the event of its failure to pass, the Deschutes County and the City of Bend governing bodies have included the property within the joint urban growth boundary as being eligible for this minimum lot size of 20,000 square feet. 2. As for the Statewide Planning Goals, the site has the necessary community facilities to comply with Goal #11 dealing with Public Facilities & Services, adjacent to other approved urban developments, and would be meeting Goal #14 dealing with urbanization. The County deeming this action to be in the public interest, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the zoning of the following described property be changed from A-1 to SR-1 as shown on the attached map : Northwest corner of Arnold Market Road, and Ferguson Rd.
