BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
R E S O L U T I O N

Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Oregon revised Statutes 198.775
(2), a petition with the required number of signatures has been filed with the
Deschutes County Board of Commissioners resolving that proceedings to annex certain
territory located in Deschutes County, Oregon more particularly described as follows,
be initiated:
That portion of the E2 E2 of Section 14 and the W2 W2 of Section 13,
Township 17 South, Range 11, E.W.M., described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of the SEI -4 of the said Section 14,
thence easterly along the south boundary of Sections 14 and 13 to the
east line of Stag Drive; thence northerly along the east line of Stag
Drive to the east line of Buck Drive; thence northwesterly along the
northeasterly line of Buck Drive to the east line of Fawn Lane; thence
northerly along the east line of Fawn Lane a distance of 735 feet more
or less; thence on an arc around the cul-de-sac of Fawn Lane a distance
of 170.83 feet; thence north 11025'96" east 299.44 feet to the east line
of said Section 14; thence northerly along the east line of Section 14
to the northeast corner of said Section 14; thence westerly along the
north line of Section 14 to the easterly right-of-way of Johnson Road;
thence southwesterly along the easterly right-of-way line of Johnson
Road to the west line of the EZ E2 of Section 14; thence south along
the west line of the EZ E2 of Section 14 to the south line of Section
14, being the point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the following
tracts heretofore annexed by the Board of County Commissioners amended
order dated November 8, 1976:
1. Beginning at the corner of Sections 11, 12, 13 and 14 of Township
17 South, Range 11, E.W.M., and running thence south 1"36'20" west,
168.0 feet; thence south 49°47'20" west, 78.4 feet; thence north
87°57'35" west, 368.0 feet to the easterly right-of-way line of
Johnson Road; thence north 37020'05" east, 262.0 feet along said
right-of-way to the north line of Section 14; thence south 89`
25'14" east, 273.5 feet to the point of beginning; and
2. That part of the following described parcel lying within the said
NE' -4 NEI of Section 14: Beginning at the northwest corner of Section
13 and the northeast corner of Section 14, which point is north 00
21' east 2625.75 feet from the 14 corner common to said section;
thence south 34008' east 772.48 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence south 9°02' east 320.0 feet; thence south 73011' west 126.80
feet; thence north 89457' west 887.47 feet; thence north 85°30' west
201.17 feet; thence south 3047' west 317.12 feet; thence north 89°00'
08" west 50.06 feet; thence north 76000' west 400.12 feet more or
less to a point on the southeasterly right-of-way line of Johnson
Road; thence northeasterly along said right-of-way line to a point
that is north 86°04' west 1128.60 feet more or less from the true
point of beginning; thence south 86°04' east 1128.60 feet more or
less to the point of beginning.

This action has the approval of the Board of Directors of Rural Fire Protection
District No. 2.
Section 11. On the 20th day of December 1978, at 10:00 a.m. at the Deschutes
County Courthouse Annex, Bend, Oregon, Conference Room A, a Hearing will be held by
the Deschutes County Commissioners for the purpose of receiving any protests to the
proposed annexation by any interested persons. All interested persons may appear
and be heard.
Section 111 . The petitioners desire to annex said property to Rural Fire
Protection District No. 2 for the following reasons:
The territory is contiguous to the present district boundaries. The proposed
annexation will contribute to the orderly growth and development of both the district
and the territory proposed to be annexed.
Section 1V. The Deschutes County Commissioners will cause to be posted this
notice of said Hearing in at least three public places and published by two insertions
in a newspaper of general circulation within the area to be annexed.
Section V. Approval of the Resolution for annexation by the Deschutes County
Commissioners as presented or modified will result in an order being entered so
declaring and fixing a place and time not less than 20 nor more than 50 days after
the date of the order for a Final Hearing on the Resolution. The order shall declare
that if written requests for an election are not filed in accordance with ORS 198.910
(2), the Commissioners will at the time of the Final Hearing enter their order author-
izing the proposed annexation.
