29-756-Resolution Recorded 2/2/1979ra 29 M 758 I IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE STATE OF OREOQN 2 FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY 3 In the Matter of ) 4 Allocation of Responsibilities ) R E S O L U T I O N Between County Counsel and the ) 5 District Attorney ) 6 7 Whereas ORS 203.121 (2) provides that County Counsel may be appointed 8 to prosecute violations of county law as defined by ORS 203.810, and 9 Whereas ORS 203.810 (2) provides that the district attorney's election 10 to have the county counsel prosecute violations of county law is subject 11 to the approval of the county governing body, and 12 Whereas, it appears that the county counsel will be required to spend all 13 of his time on civil matters involved in appeals of land use actions of 14 the county and in advising the Board of Commissionersonmatters involved 15 with the adoption of the>new'Comprehensive Plan and related zoning matters. 16 IT IS ORDERED that: 17 1. When a violation of county law is observed by or reported to county 18 personnel, the matter will be initially reported to the district attorney, 19 after investig'ation,'and with reports s'ubm'itted -by the Planning Department. 20 2.
