29-804-Resolution Recorded 2/14/1979OL 29 w4 IN THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY In the Matter of ) Load Limitation for ) R E S O L U T I O N County Roads ) This matter coming before the Board of County Commissioners on the application of CHARLES PLUMMEER, Deschutes County Roadmaster, and good cause appearing therefor, the Board of Commissioners RESOLVES as follows: WHEREAS, it appears that severe winter weather has caused extensive frost damage to roads throughout the County; and WHEREAS, it appears that further heavy truck traffic over the frost -damaged portions of the County road system will subject the roads to further damage that will require repairs that would work a greater hardship on the users of the road than would imposing load limitations and temporary closures until the weather improves; and WHEREAS, substantial unnecessary repair costs may be saved by imposed load limits and temporary closures at this time, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. Pursuant to ORS 487.905, the Roadmaster may temporarily close any damaged County Road until weather conditions allow its repair; and 2. The Roadmaster may impose a 10 -ton load limit on any County road which he finds to be in disrepair and susceptible to substantial additional damage if used by vehicles of 10 tons gross vehicle weight; 3. Provided, however, that these load limitations shall not apply to emergency vehicles, government vehicles, and road maintenance trucks and equipment. DATED this /I day of February, 1979.
