This matter having come before the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners
at a regularly scheduled meeting on March 21, 1979; due notice of said hearing
having been previously published; a hearing having been held by the Board of
Commissioners; and it appearing to the Board that it is in the best interests of
Deschutes County to exchange the below-described real property, Parcels One and
Two, for other real property owned by the City of Redmond and described below;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
1. Deschutes County convey to the City of Redmond two parcels of
real property, described as follows, to wit:
PARCEL ONE: A tract of land located in the Southeast one-quarter of
Section 21, Township 15 South, Range 12 East, Willamette Meridian,
Deschutes County, Oregon, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the East one-quarter corner of said Section 21;
thence South following the East line of said Section 21, a
distance of 1,553 feet, more or less, to a point on a line
located Northwesterly of, 1,250 feet distance from, and
parallel with the centerline of the Redmond Municipal Airport
Runway 4-22; thence South 600 31' 00" West, following the
said parallel line a distance of 2,350 feet, more or less,
to a point on the West line of the East one-half of the
Southwest one-quarter of the Southeast one-quarter of
Section 21; thence, North following the said West line of
the East one-half of the Southwest one-quarter of the South-
east one-quarter of Section 21, a distance of 1,320 feet
to the Northwest corner of the East one-half of the Southwest
one-quarter of the Southeast one-quarter of said Section 21;
thence West following East-West centerline of the Southeast
one-quarter of said Section 21, a distance of 330 feet to the
Northwest corner of the Southwest one-quarter of the South-
east one-quarter of said Section 21; thence North following
the North-South centerline of said Section 21, a distance of
1,320 feet to the center one-quarter corner of said Section
21; thence East following the East-West centerline of said
Section 21, a distance of 2,640 feet to the Point of Beginning,
the terminus of this description.

PARCEL TWO: A tract of land located in the North one-half (N31) of
Section 28 and the North one-half (NII) of Section 29, Township 15
South, Range 13 East, Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon,
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the North line of said
Section 28 with the Easterly right-of-way line of the
Oregon Trunk Railroad; thence Easterly, following the
North line of said Section 28 a distance of 2,500 feet,
more or less, to a point on a line which is located
Northwesterly of, 1,250 feet distant from and parallel
with the centerline of Redmond Municipal Airport Runway
4-22; thence South 600 31' 00" West, following the said
parallel line a distance of 3,000 feet, more or less, to
a point on line 4,000 feet from the end of the clear
zone of Runway 4-22; thence South 290 29' 00" East a
distance of 1,350 feet, more or less, to the East-West
centerline of said Section 28; thence Westerly, following
the said East-West centerline of said Section 28, a dis-
tance of 1,300 feet to the West one-quarter (W-4) corner
of said Section 28; thence Westerly following the East-
West centerline of said Section 29, a distance of 400
feet, more or less, to the said railroad right-of-way
line; thence Northeasterly following the said railroad
right-of-way line, a distance of 2,900 feet, more or less,
to the Point of Beginning, the terminus of this description.
SUBJECT TO all easements, restrictions and rights-of-way of record.
2. As a condition concurrent to the conveyance described in paragraph
(1) above, the City of Redmond is to convey to Deschutes County the following-
described real property, to wit:
A tract of land containing 316 acres, mor or less, located in the North
Half (N!~) of Section 26, and the North Half (N~) of Section 27, and
the North Half (N!~) of Section 28, Township 15 South, Range 13 East
of the Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon, being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the East Quarter (E4) of said Section 27, thence
following the East-West centerline of said Section 27,
North 890 47' 00" West, 5,300.10 feet, more or less; thence
West following the East-West centerline of said Section 28,
1,427.00 feet, more or less; thence on a line 1,250 feet
Southeasterly of and parallel with the centerline of
Redmond Municipal Airport Runway 4-22, North 600 31' 00"
East, 3,474.66 feet, mole or less; thence South 890 47' 00"
East, 3,712.30 feet, mom or less; thence South 890 51' 00"
East, 2.396.07 feet, mole or less; thence South 580 33' 58"
East, following a line 1,250 feet Southwesterly of and parallel
with Redmond Municipal Airport Runway 10-28, 312.57 feet,
move or less, to the North-South centerline of said Section 26;
thence South 1,450.00 feet; thence North 890 51' 00" West,
following the East-West centerline of said Section 26,
2,833.42 feet, morecor less, to the point of beginning and the
terminus of this description.

3. No money is to be transferred by the parties incident to this trans-
action, the properties having been found to be of equal value pursuant to
ORS 271.350. No engineering, surveying, appraisal, or other incidental costs
will be paid by Deschutes County in connection with this transaction.
4. This exchange is made pursuant to ORS 271.330. Lands conveyed by the
County shall be used for public purposes, and the deeds thereto shall contain a
reversionary clause stating that the land shall revert to Deschutes County should
it cease to be used for public purposes.
5. The Deschutes County Counsel shall receive the deeds of conveyance
involved in this transaction, and shall record the deed.''when he has received
them both.
