30-99-Resolution Recorded 4/13/1979VOL T� r IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY In the Matter of ) DESCHUTES COUNTY'S INTERIM ) AGRICULTURAL LANDS PROTECTION ) ORDINANCE ) WHEREAS: R E S O L U T I O N 30 PAGE 99 1. The Deschutes County Interim Agricultural Lands Protection Ordinance expires by its own terms on May 1, 1979, and 2. Said Ordinance provides that it may be extended by order of the Board of County Commissioners without further amendment... provided that notice thereof is published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the County not less than ten (10) days prior to the entry of such order, and 3. The Board finds that it is in the best interests of the County to extend the said Ordinance, although the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission found it to be too underinclusive to satisfy Goal 3, it is better than no Agricultural Lands Protection Ordinance at all, and 4. The previous term of the Board failed to sign the original map entitled "Agricultural Interim Protection Ordinance, Exhibit 1, Identified Agricultural Lands, August 30, 1978," although said map was duly adopted by the Board as an exhibit to said Ordinance, according to the Affidavit of WILLIAM G. MONROE, Planning Director, which ispublic record herein. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that: 1. On April 27, 1979, in the Commissioners' Conference Room at the Deschutes Courthouse Annex, Bend, Oregon, at 10:00 a.m., the Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider an order extending the Deschutes County Interim Agricultural Lands Protection Ordinance to September 1, 1979, or the date of adoption by Deschutes County of a Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance which appears to the Board to satisfy LCDC Goal Number 3, whichever occurs first. 2. At the same hearing, testimony will be taken on an order that the present Board of County Commissioners sign Agricultural Interim Protection Ordinance Exhibit 1, Identified Agricultural Lands, August 30, 1978, nunc pro tunc, effective as of August 30, 1978, the date on which it appears that this map was duly adopted by the then Board of County Commissioners. At this hearing, all intersted persons may appear, be heard, and be represented by counsel. 4.
