Deschutes County has acquired the following-described real property from the United States of America, acting by and through the Deputy Director of Lands, Forest Service, United States Department of Agriculture, pursuant to 15 USC e 555a and 43 USC J716, by that certain deed recorded in Volume 294, at Page 834, Deschutes County Records; 2. The said property is suitable for a public building for the City of Sisters, Deschutes County, Oregon and is not needed for public use by Deschutes County; 3. ORS 271.330 empowers any political subdivision within the State of Oregon to relinquish its title to any of its property not needed for public use to any other governmental body within the State, providing such property shall be used and continue to be used for a public purpose by the Grantee; 4. Said lands were not acquired as a result of tax foreclosure, so ORS 271.330(2) does not apply; 5. The Board of County Commissioners, meeting in regular session, considered this matter and found it to be in the public interest that the City of Sisters should be given said property for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that: 1. The Board of County Commissioners, after entry of this Order in its Journal, shall convey to the City of Sisters, Deschutes County, Oregon, a municipal corporation, the following-described property acquired by Deschutes County, a political subdivision of the State of Oregon, by that certain deed from the United States of America recorded in Volume 294, at Page 834, Deschutes County Records: Lots 1-12, inclusive, in Block 22(A-Ore-628A) in Davidson's Addition, Sisters, Oregon, said property being a part of Section 9, Township 15 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon, containing 1.30 acres, more or less. SUBJECT TO Reservations as contained in deed from Oregon and Western Colonization Company to the United States Department of Agriculture, Deschutes National Forest, dated May 2, 1923, recorded June 4, 1923, in Book 35, Page 476, Deschutes County Records. Should said land ever cease to be used for a public purpose, it shall revert to the Grantor. 2. Such conveyance-shall be without consideration pursuant to ORS 271.330(1). DATED this day of May, 1979.
